| To
become a decorator means being a specialist of finishes and
coatings, of stuccos and all the materials of mineral-based
finishes. But it means also to be a colourist, an “historian” of
techniques, and a little bit of a chemist as the freemasons
and painters used to be. In addition, it is a job of creation
where the artist behaves like a craftsman. |
|
| It includes
a perfect knowledge of the different kinds of surfaces in both
the modern
context and in the restoration of architectural heritage ;
and the knowledge of various fields such as decorative painting
and antique patinas. |
